Here is the news letter from last week. I didn’t want you to think anything happened to me because it is so late.
We had the golf pros from the area here to play golf and have dinner. They loved our golf course and of course they loved our food. That was on Wednesday and the weather was perfect maybe a little humid so we kept them well hydrated and well fed.
Friday night we had 150 people here for an appreciation party. They limboed and had a putting green and even tried to hula hoop. We decided it wasn’t because our waist got bigger the hoops have gotten smaller also they weigh a lot more than they did when we were kids. It couldn’t have been the margaritas or pina coladas that help those who attempted to spin the hoops fail, but they sure helped everybody laugh. The dj played songs of the 60’s and early 70’s and people danced and sang along. They all seemed to have a good time.
Then we joined Ana and Bobby together in matrimony as we hosted guests from Columbia, South America [ the brides side] to guests from North America [the groom’s side]. Even though there was a language barrier for some they all understood the universal language of music. The day was nice, the bride looked lovely and everyone had a good time and didn’t want to leave.
Brunch was busy as usual …the veranda was crowded and everyone was enjoying the boats going up and down the waterway.
Then Elsa Bonstein had her book signing and a good showing of her friends came by to celebrate with her. Question of the day ..when is the next book coming out?
Father’s Day is right around the corner and we are having our regular brunch but extending it to 2 o’clock. We are almost booked solid especially with parties over 6. We don’t want to promise people seats that may not be available. So call and see if the time you want is available. 910-754-5540. And for those we don’t see on Father’s Day have a great day.
The plans for July 4, 2014 have not been solidified as of yet. When I know the details you will know.
Have a safe week and as you travel for vacation be careful. I will see you when I see you.
