We have wrapped up another week here at The View with a great turnout for Caribbean night unfortunately the weather didn’t co-operate as it rained on the deck but not in the front of the house. How does that happen?
The music was inside and we had more dancers than we have had so far. Mango daiquiris and margaritas were the drinks of the night. The citrus grilled shrimp was by far the best seller followed by the braised pork wings. Our steel drummer will be back this Thursday so stop in and relax with his soothing music, a margarita in hand and the intracoastal flowing along side the veranda.
Friday dinner was another sold out affair. We had only one large table opened and unfortunately the majority of our guests came at the same time. The kitchen was challenged but came through with flying colors. We are having a new menu which the chef calls chalkboard specials. It features 4 or 5 different entrees each night and some even come in a half portion for those who insist they can’t eat his regular presentation because it is too big. Reservations are definitely recommend and don’t call at 5 o’clock because you may be out of luck.
We have Hope for Harbor coming up on August 15 make sure you do what you best..making Brick Landing look good to all our neighbors. Thanks for all those who are donating their time and their talents to make it a huge success.
Next week we will talk about the members guest weekend. I need to make sure I don’t give out bad details.
Have a good week and as you clean up after your family and friends that have gone home..remember that is why we moved here. I will see you when I see you. Travel Safe.
